The National Dog Show is set to return to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks this November, a tradition that has been ongoing for years. On November 15 and 16, nearly 2,000 dogs representing 190 breeds will compete in what promises to be an action-packed two-day event.
For the second year running, Saturday's competition will be televised nationwide on NBC, with live coverage of the event airing from noon to 2 pm on Thanksgiving Day. Spectators will have a unique opportunity to see the participating dogs up close and learn more about each breed, as the show is one of the few remaining "benched" events in the country.
The weekend also promises to be filled with exciting performances by the Purina Pro Plan Performance Team and other canine exhibitions. And with free parking available on-site, it's easy for fans to get out and enjoy the event.
Tickets are now on sale, priced at $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 4-11, and free for kids under three. The show will take place from 8 am to 6 pm on Saturday and 8 am to 5 pm on Sunday, with Best in Show announced at approximately 6:30 pm on the first day and 4:30 pm on the second.
The National Dog Show is being held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, located at 100 Station Ave. in Oaks, PA 19456. For schedules, tickets, and additional information, fans can visit nds.nationaldogshow.com.
