Taylor Momsen Rocks New Version of ‘Grinch’ Song ‘Where Are You Christmas?’

Taylor Momsen Unleashes Rock Version of Grinch's 'Where Are You Christmas?' - A Holiday Twist Fit for the Ages.

In a surprise move, Taylor Momsen is revisiting a beloved holiday classic with her own rock twist. The Pretty Reckless frontwoman has re-recorded "Where Are You Christmas?" 25 years after first performing the song as Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 film How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Momsen's new version, which is part of the band's new holiday EP Taylor Momsen's Pretty Reckless Christmas, takes a nostalgic snippet from her childhood recording and launches into a full-blown rock version, anchored by crunchy guitars and her signature gritty vocals.

"I Wanna Be Your Christmas Tree," "Christmas Is Killing Me," "Blues on Christmas," and "When We Were Young" are the other tracks on the six-track EP. A reprise titled "Christmas, Why Can't I Find You" rounds out the collection.

According to Momsen, the project began as a single song but grew into something much bigger as she delved deeper into her emotions and experiences with Christmas. The result is an EP that's both deeply personal and bigger than expected.

This release marks another milestone in The Pretty Reckless' impressive discography, including their latest album Death by Rock and Roll, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart in 2021.

I love it when artists put their own spin on childhood favorites like this! Taylor Momsen sounds like she really got into the spirit (pun intended) for this one 🎄❤️. I can totally see her bringing that edgy vibe to a holiday classic. The EP's tracklist is pretty great too - "Christmas Is Killing Me" is giving me some major 90s alt-rock feels 🤘. It's awesome that she's not afraid to go dark on Christmas, you know? Her vocals are always so raw and emotive... it's gonna be a blast from the past when I hear this EP playing at my daughter's holiday party 😂🎅

I'm all about this new EP from Taylor Momsen and her band! 🤘 I mean, who doesn't love a good holiday twist? But what I really dig is how she took a nostalgic song from her childhood and turned it into something totally raw and rockin'. 💥 It's like, you can feel the emotions pouring out of every note - it's so personal. And I love that she pushed the boundaries with this EP, it's not just some generic holiday playlist filler. 🎵 Can't wait to give it a spin myself! 🎶

Ugh 🤪 I'm all about the old-school Christmas vibes, you know? But this new version of "Where Are You Christmas?" is kinda cool 😎 I mean, Taylor Momsen rocks out like crazy and it's pretty infectious. It's funny how our tastes change over time - when she did it as Cindy Lou Who, it was super cute and innocent, but now it's all about the edge 🤘. Still, it's a fun holiday twist that'll get you movin' during the winter months. And I love that she put her own spin on it... not too different from how we used to make Christmas playlists back in the day 🎵

I'm so over this holiday EP nonsense 🎄😒. I mean, Taylor Momsen is a talented musician and all, but do we really need another 'rock twist' on an old Grinch song? It just feels like a cash-grab to me... especially since it's only 6 tracks 🙄. And what's up with the title "Taylor Momsen's Pretty Reckless Christmas" - it sounds so forced and try-hard 🤣. I'd rather she just put out an actual holiday album that's actually about the spirit of the season, you know? Instead we get a bunch of generic rock songs that are just trying to cash in on the festive vibe 🎅️.

omg this is so lit 🤩 i mean what even happened to taylor momsen's vocals?? she used to be like super soft but now she's all gritty and rockin it!!! idk if i love the whole thing or hate it lol but seriously though, who else remembers watching how the grinch stole christmas as a kid and dying from the cuteness of taylor's cindy lou who performance 😂💖

omg u guys idk why but i just found out that taylor momsen is releasing a new holiday ep and it sounds SOOOO good!!! 🎄 i mean i'm not surprised she'd do something like this, taylor's always been all about her rock vibes and christmas just feels so festive for me. anyway, i've been listening to her new version of the grinch's 'where are you christmas?' and it's literally giving me all the feels! 🎶 her voice is so hauntingly beautiful and the guitars are SO crunchy 🤘 what i love about this ep is that it's not just some generic holiday music, taylor's added so much of herself into every song and it shows. plus, who doesn't love a good grinch-themed Christmas album? 🎅️ i'm low-key obsessed with this ep already and i know i'll be listening to it nonstop while i decorate my apartment for christmas 😂

omg u guys I'm lowkey obsessed with this new taylor momsen christmas ep! 🎄🔥 the way she takes that nostalgic childhood snippet & turns it into a full-on rock anthem is everything 💥 i mean, who doesn't love a good grinch-inspired vibe? 😏 and it's so cool that she was able to tap into her own emotions & experiences with christmas to create something so personal & meaningful ❤️ can we pls get a tour with this ep? 🎵💕

Taylor Momsen is bringing her own brand of grunge to the holiday season with this new EP! I love how she's taking a nostalgic childhood song and turning it into something edgy and rockin' - the guitar riffs are pretty sick 🔥. It's awesome that she's able to tap into her emotions and create music that's both personal and big enough to share with everyone else. The Pretty Reckless is definitely on fire right now, and I'm hyped to see what they do next 🤩.

I love how Taylor Momsen is totally reimagining this holiday fave for the modern era 🤘💥 Her new rock version of "Where Are You Christmas?" is giving me all the feels, it's like she's taking all the nostalgic charm and amplifying it with her signature edginess 😎. I mean, who wouldn't want to belt out a Christmas anthem that's more about letting loose and having a good time? 🤩 The rest of the EP sounds pretty lit too, especially "I Wanna Be Your Christmas Tree" - can't wait to give it a spin! 🎵

I'm loving Taylor Momsen's new rock version of "Where Are You Christmas?" 🤩 It's amazing how she took a classic holiday song and turned it into something totally different and awesome! The guitar riffs are insane 😎 and her vocals are, as always, so raw and emotive. I can already imagine this EP being on repeat during the holiday season - it's the perfect soundtrack for anyone who's ever felt like Christmas was just too cheesy. Momsen is a genius at bringing new life to old songs 🎸

Ugh, Taylor Momsen is milking her nostalgia trip for all it's worth 🙄... she just re-recorded a Christmas song from 25 years ago like that? It's not even like it's a classic or anything. I mean, who needs a rock version of "Where Are You Christmas?" when the original is already pretty catchy, right? And don't even get me started on this EP being her biggest project yet... like she needed to prove something 🤦‍♀️. And what's with these song titles? "Christmas Is Killing Me" sounds super depressing, can't she just stick to a normal holiday playlist for once? 🎄👀
