The Cure Detail 'The Show of a Lost World' Concert Film Set for Theaters Worldwide

The Cure is set to take audiences on a sonic journey through their iconic discography with the release of "The Show of a Lost World," a concert film featuring the band's latest album, "Songs of a Lost World." The film will hit select theaters worldwide starting December 11, offering fans a unique opportunity to experience the band's intimate show at Troxy in London on November 1, 2024.

Shot with Nick Wickham at the helm and a new surround sound mix by Robert Smith, the Cure's frontman, the concert film promises to showcase the band's eclectic setlist. The movie will include not only all the tracks from "Songs of a Lost World" but also select songs from their extensive discography, including 2015's critically-acclaimed album "4:13 Dream."

According to Robert Smith, the Cure's 45th-anniversary album "Seventeen Seconds" gets its own five-song set, with hits like "Boys Don't Cry," "In Between Days," and "Disintegration." Fans will also be treated to lesser-known gems from across their nearly-five-decade-long career.

CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, Mark Allenby, described the film as a "testament to the artistry and depth of The Cure's music," adding that it was a pleasure to bring this extraordinary concert to cinemas worldwide.

Although fans are eagerly anticipating more new material from The Cure, with Robert Smith hinting at a follow-up album in March 2025, their upcoming tour of Europe and the UK offers the perfect opportunity for fans to catch up on some of the band's most beloved works.

I'm so stoked they're finally releasing this concert film ๐ŸŽฅ๐ŸŽต! It's gonna be amazing to see The Cure perform all those iconic songs live again. I mean, who doesn't love a good "Disintegration" or a moody rendition of "Boys Don't Cry"? ๐Ÿค˜ And it's awesome that they're including some lesser-known tracks โ€“ it'll be interesting to see how the band interprets them. The fact that Robert Smith is involved in the mix too makes me think it's gonna sound super polished and immersive. Can't wait to catch this on the big screen!

OMG this concert film is gonna be EPIC ๐Ÿ’ฅ! I'm so stoked they're including songs from "4:13 Dream" and "Seventeen Seconds", it's like a dream come true for all you Cure fans out there ๐ŸŽธ! And can we talk about the setlist? It sounds like Robert Smith wants to give us a little taste of everything, which is totally fair because let's be real, The Cure has an insane discography ๐Ÿคฏ. I'm also loving the surround sound mix by Rob himself - he must've put his heart and soul into it ๐Ÿ’•! Fingers crossed we'll get to see some behind-the-scenes peeks at the making of "Songs of a Lost World" too, that would be SO cool ๐Ÿ“น!

๐Ÿค” I mean, have you seen all those concert films from bands? It's just a bunch of overpriced ticket touts trying to make a quick buck off die-hard fans... ๐Ÿ˜’ And don't even get me started on the surround sound mix by Robert Smith himself - what's next, a 3D re-release of their '80s videos with tacky VR goggles? ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿคฎ Not convinced this is anything more than a money grab. Can't they just release the album and be done with it? ๐Ÿ“€
