Super greens powder supplements sold at Sam's Club linked to salmonella outbreak

At Least 11 People Sickened in Nationwide Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Super Greens Powder Supplements Sold at Sam's Club

A growing number of consumers are coming down with salmonella infections after consuming powder supplements sold at Sam's Club stores nationwide and online, according to a recent report by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC has confirmed that over 11 people have fallen ill, including three who were hospitalized, due to contaminated moringa leaf powder in Member's Mark Super Greens Powder Supplements.

The outbreak was traced back to a single lot of organic moringa leaf powder imported from Vallon Farm Direct in Jodhpur, India. Samples collected by state health officials in Virginia and Michigan revealed the presence of salmonella bacteria, leading the FDA to issue a recall alert for all affected products.

Symptoms of salmonella poisoning include severe vomiting, diarrhea, fever, dehydration, and stomach cramps. While most people who contract the illness can recover within a week, certain individuals such as young children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems may require hospitalization.

To mitigate further spread of the outbreak, the CDC advises consumers to discard or return any affected supplements and refrain from consuming them. Moringa is a plant native to India and other countries prized for its essential nutrients, including protein, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. However, the current contamination highlights the risks associated with importing and processing international food products.

The recall is an important reminder of the importance of food safety regulations and quality control measures in the food industry. As the situation continues to unfold, consumers are urged to stay informed through official channels and exercise caution when purchasing supplements or other food products.

I'm so worried about these people getting sick 🤕🚨. I mean, who would've thought that something as natural as moringa could be contaminated like this? It's just a reminder to always check the expiration dates and packaging before buying any supplement online 💡. And seriously, how do you even track down where all these products come from? The FDA should really step up their game on quality control 🚧. I'm glad they're recalling everything, but what about people who already bought it thinking it was safe? That's just not fair 😒. We need more transparency in the supplement industry, for sure 👍.

OMG 🤯 I'm seriously freaking out right now!!11 people getting sick from these Super Greens Powder Supplements is just insane! Like, how do you even mess up something that's supposed to be a health supplement? And moringa powder imported from India? Like, what was going on behind the scenes at Sam's Club?! 🤷‍♀️ I mean, I love moringa as much as the next person, but not if it's contaminated with salmonella! 😷 This recall is a total wake-up call for all of us to be more mindful of what we're putting in our bodies. Like, seriously, how can you even trust that something is safe just because it's on the label?! 🤦‍♀️ Anyway, I'm totally gonna be checking my supplements way more closely from now on...can't take any chances! 💪

🚨 this salmonella outbreak is a total bummer 🤢 gotta be careful what we're putting in our bodies, especially with all these supplement options flooding the market 💊. moringa's supposed to have some good stuff, but it looks like someone messed up the quality control process 🤦‍♀️. need to make sure big box stores like Sam's Club are on top of their game when it comes to supplier vetting and product testing 🔍. not worth risking our health for a quick fix or supposed "superfood" benefits 💪

omg what a bummer 🤕 this salmonella outbreak is like so preventable if the supplier just checked their product properly before shipping it out 🚨 anyway im all about moringa its supposed to be super good for you but i guess that doesnt mean we should be eating anything thats been sitting around waiting to get contaminated 💔 anyone who got sick from this stuff please take care of yourself and dont stress too much, just rest and drink lots of water 💧

🚨 OMG guys, Salmonella outbreak alert! 🚨 I was literally just buying those Member's Mark Super Greens Powder Supplements at Sam's Club thinking they were a superfood booster but NOPE 🤢 I mean, I've heard of people getting sick from contaminated stuff before but this is on a whole other level. 11 ppl are sick and 3 had to go to the hospital? That's not cool! 😷 The CDC is being super responsible by recalling all affected products, so let's just be safe for now and throw those powder supplements out 🚮 I guess we should also give a shoutout to Vallon Farm Direct in India for importing contaminated moringa leaf powder 🤦‍♂️ Food safety regulations are super important, y'all! Let's keep an eye on this situation and stay informed through official channels 💻

🤔 this salmonella outbreak is super concerning, especially with moringa being a nutrient-rich supplement that people actually wanna take. it's crazy how something as natural as a plant can be contaminated like this... i mean, who wants to deal with vomiting and diarrhea from taking a supposed "healthy" powder? 🚽🤢 anyway, the FDA's recall is a good start, but we need to make sure these kinds of recalls happen faster and more often. it's just basic common sense: if something's contaminated, get it off the shelves ASAP! 💡
