Michael O'Brien's Super 25 high school football rankings for Week 11

Lincoln-Way East's Jonas Williams Returns from Injury, Propels Team to Number Three Spot in Week 11 Rankings.

Jonas Williams led his team, Lincoln-Way East, to a 45-0 victory over Stevenson in the first round of the Class 8A playoffs, propelling them up the rankings. The Griffins' resurgence was expected after Williams returned from injury. They also knocked off top-ranked Maine South earlier this season.

The Super 25 teams had a successful Week 11, with few changes to the rankings. York lost to Lyons and dropped out of the list, but the opening created an opportunity for Lincoln-Way West to rise. Bolingbrook, Lockport, Oswego, and Richards were among other contenders that secured spots in the top 25.

However, crowds at games have been affected by Halloween, with reports suggesting that they sounded down on Saturday. But Mount Carmel's game at Belleville East saw a decent crowd despite it not being as large as some of their previous matches.

As for this week's rankings, Mount Carmel remains atop the list at number one, followed closely by Brother Rice in second place. Lincoln-Way East, who was 14th last week but jumped up to third spot after Williams' return from injury, is now sitting comfortably behind them. Maine South and Nazareth round out the top five.

In other news, Montini, Glenbard West, Fremd, and Batavia have maintained their positions in the top ten. Meanwhile, Downers Grove North takes 10th place in the rankings. Warren rises to number 11 spot after defeating Bolingbrook, while Barrington drops back down to 12th.

Carmel, St. Charles North, Fenwick, Providence, and Lyons also moved up their rankings, but there were some notable falls from other teams. The list concluded with Prairie Ridge holding onto the 18th position, Lincoln-Way Central moving into 19th spot, Hersey settling at 21st place, Bradley-Bourbonnais rising to 22nd spot, and St. Francis finishing in 25th.

These rankings will undoubtedly have an impact on the final stretch of the season as teams prepare for their playoff matches.

omg i just remembered i need to order my monthly subscription box πŸ“¦ its been a while since i last looked at the website, and now i'm all confused about which plan is right for me lol guess ill have to cancel it first though to see what happened to my stuff πŸ˜‚ anyway back to football, i feel bad for york that they lost to lyons, but i heard their games are always so much fun when it's not Halloween πŸŽƒ

omg what's up with these rankings lol i mean lincoln-way east is on fire now that jonas williams is back from injury 🀩 they're like literally unstoppable now and ppl are actually showing up to watch 'em play who knew? πŸŽ‰ meanwhile mount carmel is still repping the top spot but i guess brother rice is giving 'em a run for their money 😏 anyway can't wait to see how these teams finish out the season πŸ’₯

I'm thinking, it's kinda crazy how quickly Lincoln-Way East jumped up those rankings after Jonas Williams came back from injury... like, they went from 14th to third place in just one week 😊. It just goes to show that when a team has a strong leader like him, things can happen fast. And I'm also wondering if the Halloween weekend crowd situation is gonna affect the rest of the season - teams are already dealing with smaller crowds and lower energy vibes at games πŸ€”. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how these rankings play out as we head into the final stretch! πŸ‘€

I dont get why people are so invested in high school football rankings πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Like, isn't it just a game at the end of the day? 🏈 I mean, Im glad Jonas Williams is back and his team is doing well, but whats the big deal about being number three or whatever? πŸ€” Can we focus on something else? πŸ˜… And btw, why do crowds have to be so loud on Saturdays? cant they just chill for one day? 😴

Ugh, Week 11's Super 25 rankings are all over the place 🀯. I mean, Lincoln-Way East jumping from 14th to 3rd spot is awesome, but what's with all these swings? It feels like the whole thing is too unpredictable πŸ”„. And don't even get me started on the teams that dropped out – York was actually doing pretty well before they lost to Lyons 😐.

I'm still on the fence about Mount Carmel being number one. Their wins are solid, but I wish the rankings took into account more games against tough opponents πŸ’ͺ. Meanwhile, Warren's rise to 11th is nice, but it feels like a bit of a fluke πŸ€”. And what happened to Glenbard West? They were doing so much better last week... πŸ“‰

It's all just so frustrating when I look at the rankings and can't help but wonder if anyone actually knows what they're doing πŸ˜’.

πŸ€” I'm not buying it. Lincoln-Way East's jump to number three is suspiciously convenient after Jonas Williams' return from injury. Where's the data on how much of a difference his health has made? Have we seen any actual stats or video evidence of him dominating games again? It sounds like a PR stunt to me πŸ˜’

omg u guys i was at this game last wkend with my bf πŸ€— we went to watch lincoln way east play Stevenson and it was SOOO hyped!! they won 45-0 lol i cant even count that high πŸ˜‚ but seriously tho their comeback is amazing after jonas williams came back from injury he's literally the star of the show πŸ’« and i gotta say i'm super proud of him πŸ™Œ now lincoln way east is at #3 which is insane!!!

I'm telling ya... something fishy is goin' on with these sports rankings! I mean, Lincoln-Way East just happens to jump from 14th to 3rd spot after Jonas Williams gets back from injury? That's like a scripted play, bro! πŸ€”

And don't even get me started on Mount Carmel being number one. It's always the top-ranked team that wins. Coincidence? I think not! There's gotta be some shady deal goin' on behind the scenes to keep those schools at the top.

And what about all these other teams risin' and fallin'? It's like they're all just pawns in a big game, man. The Super 25 is like some kinda illusion, a distraction from the real agenda. Wake up, sheeple! 🚨

man i'm so hyped for this week's football games 🀩 especially lincoln-way east's match against mount carmel. they've been playing so good since jonas williams got back from injury 😎 that 45-0 win over stevenson was insane. and i heard the crowd at their game against maine south was pretty lit too πŸ”₯ gotta say, though, the crowds have been kinda low this season due to halloween πŸŽƒ anyone else notice that? but hey, these rankings are on point! mount carmel still on top, lincoln-way east jumping up to third spot is a nice move. montini and fremd are holding strong in the top ten too πŸ‘ what do you guys think about this week's matchups?

still pretty impressive that Lincoln-Way East is makin' a comeback like this 🀯 after Jonas Williams came back from injury... they really took advantage of it, too πŸ’ͺ knockin' off Maine South and Stevenson. don't know about the crowds bein' down on Saturday tho... think that's a bit weird πŸ€”

omg this is so exciting!!! Jonas Williams is back and killing it on the field! I'm not surprised they're doing so well, though - their team dynamic is clearly awesome πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ’• Lincoln-Way East fans must be over the moon right now 😊 Can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds for them!!!

looks like lincoln-way east is back and stronger than ever πŸ™Œ after jonas williams' injury return, they're taking over the top 3 spot in the rankings. but i'm kinda surprised they didn't drop york from their rankings when they lost to lyons? and what's up with the crowd issues on saturdays during halloween? should've been a bigger deal πŸ€”

omg u no wats up?? so like lincoln-way easts jonas williams came back from injury & now they're 3rd ranked lol its amazing 2 c them crushin it in class 8a playoffs πŸ˜‚πŸˆ they knocked off top-ranked maine south earlier & now they're makin a move 2 get into playoffs πŸŽ‰ their team is lookin fierce πŸ”₯ but cant wait 2 see how the rest of season plays out πŸ€”

can someone pls explain why the crowds are down at games lately? πŸ€” i read it was bcos of halloween but like, how does that affect ppl's willingness to attend sports events? shouldn't it be more about the actual game or something? πŸˆπŸŽƒ

so its finally happening lincoln-way east is back in the mix after that injury but i'm not surprised they've been dominating the games without him anyway. seems like jonas willson's return was just a icing on the cake lol what do u think about this rankings system tho? it feels so competitive i feel for the teams that are struggling to hold their spots

Just saw that Lincoln-Way East jumped up to number three 😊. That's awesome for Jonas Williams and his team! They're really making a comeback after being down with injury. Can't wait to see how they do in the playoffs πŸˆπŸ‘

can we get real for a sec? I'm all about that underdog life, but even i gotta say, lincoln-way east is looking good rn 🀩. 3rd spot in week 11 rankings? yeah, they're def on the rise after jonas williams came back from injury πŸ’ͺ. but here's the thing, people are saying crowds are down at games cuz of halloween... i'm like, what's the big deal? can't we just have a lil fun on saturday instead of being all boring and crowded πŸŽƒ?
