omg I'm DYING over this sketch! James Austin Johnson's Donald Trump impersonation is EVERYTHING . I mean, who else can make a character like that so relatable and ridiculous? And that Phantom of the Opera number?! Genius . It's like he's channeling his inner narcissist with confidence οΈ. As for me being contractually obligated to watch every SNL cold open ... same here, I'm STUCK on this Trump impersonation, can we get more?
come on, let's be real, trump's ego is so big it needs its own gravitational pull . a whole sketch dedicated to him being the center of attention? that's just funny because it's so true . we should probably start calling SNL "the show about me" instead . and btw, if trump really took a cognitive test at walter reed and did that well, maybe he should just run for president already?
I'm not even surprised that Trump crashed that debate . The guy's ego is basically a superpower . But what really got me was when he started singing Phantom of the Opera ... I mean, who does that? It's like he thought he was the real Phantom or something . Anyway, I gotta give props to James Austin Johnson for pulling off such an epic Trump impersonation . He's definitely got a winner with this character .
OMG, that Donald Trump impersonation by James Austin Johnson is EVERYTHING ! I mean, who else can turn a serious debate into a Phantom of the Opera musical number? The way he just owned that stage and stole the show... I'm already imagining him doing a whole episode as Trump's eccentric personality. And can we talk about how accurate the cognitive test scene is? Like, for real, who hasn't seen a politician try to spin a ridiculous achievement? The cast of SNL is killing it this season and I'm here for all the more sketches like this one!
I mean... Trump just took over the whole NYC mayor debate scene and honestly, it was kinda genius ! James Austin Johnson's impersonation is on fire ! The way he went from serious candidate talk to Phantom of the Opera show tunes in a hot second was pure comedic gold . It's amazing how SNL can take a super divisive figure like Trump and turn him into a silly character that we can all laugh at (well, most of us ). The cast's chemistry is insane and I love how they're not afraid to poke fun at themselves... er, I mean, the President . Let's keep on laughing and keeping it light, folks!
