I gotta say, I'm both impressed and saddened by Salman Rushdie's story

. On one hand, it's incredible that he hasn't developed PTSD symptoms after going through such a traumatic experience β that takes a lot of strength and resilience

. But on the other hand, it's also kinda weird that his therapist just casually joked about him being a "badass"

... like, isn't PTSD supposed to be super serious?
But what really gets me is how Rushdie has adapted to his new reality

. I mean, who needs books when you have iPads, right?

Just kidding, but seriously, it's cool that he's found ways to cope with the attack and keep creating despite all this. And his thoughts on becoming an American citizen are so poignant

... it's like, we can always strive for a better version of ourselves, even when things get tough.
Anyway, I think Rushdie's story is a reminder that people can be super resilient in the face of adversity

, and that's something to be celebrated

.
