“Uptick in Abductions”: ICE Ramps Up Targeting of Minneapolis Legal Observers

Beware: Minneapolis Residents Are Being Targeted by Trump Administration's Immigration Enforcement Effort

In a chilling display of escalating intimidation, multiple residents in Minneapolis have been targeted and disappeared within the past few days. The disappearance of these individuals is attributed to an uptick in abductions, with observers reporting witnessing federal agents loading people into unmarked vehicles.

Local residents who monitor ICE operations under the name "commuters" claim that the increased targeting of their community members has become a pressing concern. According to Defrost MN, a group tracking federal immigration operations, the rise in abductions indicates a significant escalation in enforcement efforts under new head Tom Homan.

While Homan initially announced a reduction of 700 ICE agents and officers in Minnesota as part of "Operation Metro Surge," many residents believe this move is merely an attempt to mask the reality of the situation. In fact, data suggests that federal agencies remain overrepresented on the ground, outnumbering local law enforcement by three to one.

Reports have emerged of commuters being followed and filmed by ICE agents during their work, who then allegedly warn them before taking action against those deemed "aggressively flexing power." Despite official assurances of a more targeted approach under Homan's leadership, eyewitness accounts paint a dire picture of escalating hostility toward residents opposing the Trump administration's immigration policies.

The Intercept has observed multiple interactions between ICE agents and commuters, with some instances involving armed agents. However, in one notable instance, an officer explicitly warned commuters that they would receive only one warning before being taken into custody, sparking concerns about increased control measures.

The Intercept acknowledges that the struggle between President Donald Trump's federal agencies and residents continues unabated. As a community stands together to resist these efforts, many are left grappling with the reality of living under an authoritarian regime.

I'm totally on board with this - like, what's everyone whining about? The fact that some people are getting "targeted" by ICE is basically a free country thing. If you're not following the rules, then why should you be surprised when the authorities come after you? 🤷‍♂️

I mean, think about it - if you're not careful and get caught up in all this immigration drama, that's on you, not some faceless government agent or bureaucrat. It's all about personal responsibility, fam! 😎

😕 just saw this on my feed and its freaking me out... think we're losing control over our own city 🤯 how can ice just start taking ppl away without due process? 🚫 sounds like a war zone to me... dont even get me started on the whole operation metro surge thing 🙄

🤔 I was just thinking about how much I love trying out new restaurants in Minneapolis... have you guys tried that new Ethiopian place downtown? The injera bread is so good! 🍚 And omg, speaking of food, I had the craziest dream last night where I was flying over a giant plate of pancakes with syrup dripping everywhere... it was like my brain was trying to escape reality or something 😂. Anyway, back to Minneapolis... has anyone heard about that new ice cream shop that just opened up? It's supposed to have the best vegan flavors 🍦👌.

🤕 This is getting outta hand. I mean, I get it, Trump wants to send a message but targeting innocent people in Minneapolis? It's like, hello, that's not how you build trust or make your point. They're treating these ppl like they're gonna just roll over and comply with their immigration policies. Newsflash: nobody likes being surveilled or intimidated by the feds all day long.

And let's be real, 700 fewer ICE agents in Minnesota doesn't exactly scream "targeted approach" to me. More like a PR stunt to make it seem like they're listening to residents' concerns. Meanwhile, local law enforcement is stuck in the middle of this whole mess, trying to do their job without being overpowered by federal agents.

It's like, what even is the end goal here? Are we just gonna keep living under this climate of fear and intimidation until Trump gets out? 🤷‍♀️

🤯 this is getting outta hand.. i mean i get it, trump wants his agenda done but targeting ppl in minneapolis like that? it's just crazy 🚔. theyre literally following people to work and filming them if they dont conform... thats not how you build a community, its fear and control. and what really gets me is the so-called "reduction" of ice agents.. sounds like a total joke to me. 700 less agents or 3000 more? still got 3 times as many on the ground. not sure what kind of game trump's playing but it dont feel right 😒
