Victory Brewing Unveils Limited-Edition Ale to Celebrate America's 250th Birthday
In anticipation of the nation's milestone birthday, Victory Brewing Co. has brewed up a special limited-edition ale in collaboration with Visit Philadelphia. Dubbed Philly First, this unique brew is set to toast the country's semiquincentennial celebration.
The beer itself boasts a crisp and easy-drinking quality, characterized by light hops and hints of tropical fruit. A fitting tribute to the city that inspired it, the can art pays homage to some of Philadelphia's most iconic innovations, including Benjamin Franklin's first public lending library and the invention of the slinky. The label proudly declares, "Philly was first at a lot of things. Now, itβs in your cooler."
The release of Philly First coincides with Victory Brewing's own anniversary, marking 26 years since founders Bill Covaleski and Ron Barchet opened the brewery's doors in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. With this limited-edition ale, the company aims to bring people together through the universal language of beer.
Philly First will be available starting Sunday, February 15 at Victory taprooms, with regional bars joining the party two weeks later. The brew will also be distributed in 16-ounce cans and sold at local distributors and specialty beer boutiques.
While details on the ale's availability are scarce, one thing is certain: Philly First is sure to become a collector's item for beer enthusiasts celebrating America's 250th birthday.
