I brought back from my holiday in Crete, the recipe for tzatziki, this absolutely delicious and refreshing yoghurt cucumber salad.

Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • 1 bunch of mint and fresh coriander

  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1 Greek yogurt with sheep’s milk

  • Pepper

  • Salt

Directions

  • Grate the cucumber and let it drain for 15 minutes.
  • Put it in a salad bowl, add the crushed garlic, finely chopped mint and coriander, put the yogurt, oil, salt and pepper, stir and put in the fridge.
  • Serve it very fresh with Greek bread as an aperitif, or as it is as a starter.

Notes

  • Ideal in summer for its freshness, this starter nevertheless knows how to be appreciated throughout the year and is always successful, despite the extreme simplicity of the recipe.
