Cooking vegetables for everyone – Carrot fries

Vegetable fries, that's a change and it's so good! Super easy and quick to prepare, baked carrot fries will surprise and delight the whole family, even those who are reluctant to eat vegetables. And for the big fries lovers that we are, this is a great victory! And then, it fits with the good resolutions of the new year, right?

Ingredients

  • 1.2 kg of carrot (preferably organic)

  • Frying oil

  • Salt

Directions

  • Peel the carrots, then cut them lengthwise in 2 or 4 depending on the thickness of the carrot. Then cut into fries of about 8 cm.
  • The fries thus obtained are quite thick.
  • Put everything in a dish, cover and pre-cook in the microwave for 13 min at full power (900 Watt).
  • Then, fry in a deep fryer (oil at 180 ° C) for about 5 min. The fries should take on a colorful appearance. Drain well. Salt … it’s ready!
  • To be served as an accompaniment to various meats … but with a barbecue rib of beef, it’s a treat!

Notes

  • Too good recipe. Even out of the microwave with a small pan of crunchy vegetables: it’s ideal! To do and redo!
