Jodie Foster Snake Receives Pioneering Cancer Treatment

When Species Boundaries Get in the Way of Medical Progress Jodie Foster, a 15ft reticulated python at Chester zoo, has become the first snake to receive electrochemotherapy, a human cancer treatment.

The therapy was administered as a last resort after traditional surgery failed to halt the spread of her fibrosarcoma.

The treatment's success is evident in Jodie's recovery: she is now eating normally and shows no signs of the cancer returning.
