Bears' grades are in. How did they do against the Bengals?

Caleb Williams' magic can't save the Bears from a disastrous defense. The rookie quarterback put on a show in Sunday's wild 47-42 win over the Bengals, tossing three touchdowns and rushing for 53 yards before the defense imploded.

The day belongs to Kyle Monangai, who outworked his counterparts to produce 176 yards on the ground – the most by a Bear since Matt Forte went for 205 against the Panthers in 2011. With D'Andre Swift sidelined, Monangai took center stage and delivered with a flourish, hammering the Bengals for 63 yards in the first quarter.

Colston Loveland also stepped up, hauling in six catches for 118 yards and scoring his first two NFL touchdowns, including a stunning 58-yarder with seconds left that capped off an incredible game.

The defense was a different story altogether. The unit's inability to close out plays cost the Bears multiple opportunities at the end zone, while also allowing Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco to put up career-high numbers.

In a bizarre twist of fate, the Bengal's 40-year-old quarterback managed to post four touchdown passes and 470 yards through the air – leaving the defense looking bewildered. In fact, it was almost as if they didn't exist.

Ultimately, this one will be remembered for all its madness – not least of which is how the Bengals scored on their opening kickoff return of 99 yards.

man that game was WILD 😂 I'm still trying to process what I just saw, defense was straight up torched by Flacco 🤯 and the offense was on fire with Caleb Williams leading the charge 🚀. Kyle Monangai is the real MVP tho 💪 176 yards on the ground in a game that needed him to step up big time 😅 Colston Loveland scoring his first two touchdowns, that's awesome! 👏 The Bengals' 40-year-old QB putting up those insane numbers though... what can you even do against that? 🤷‍♂️

🤯 I mean, have you seen that game? It's like the Bears' defense just checked out in the fourth quarter 🙅‍♂️! Caleb Williams is putting up insane numbers and can't even rely on his team to keep pace with him. And don't get me started on the Bengals - Joe Flacco just doesn't care about anything, he's just throwing touchdowns willy-nilly and having the time of his life 😂.

But you know what's even crazier? The game itself was like a soap opera 📺! From that insane opening kickoff return to Kyle Monangai taking it upon himself to carry the team, it was just non-stop chaos. And Colston Loveland scoring those two touchdowns in the final minutes? I mean, what are you even gonna do with that kind of drama? 💥

omg u guys what a game!!! Caleb Williams is straight fire 🤯 he's def gonna be the mvpp of this week but let's give it up to Kyle Monangai too, that dude was on 🔥 his 176 yards on the ground was insane! and Colston Loveland, wow six catches for 118 yards and TWO touchdowns, the man is a beast 🦁. but let's be real, defense was a whole different story... those Bengals' defenders were sleepwalking 😴, Joe Flacco just destroyed them. and can we talk about how the bengals scored on that opening kickoff return? 🤯 what a wild game!!!

lol what a game lol 4 touchdowns from joe flacco at 40?? that's wild 🤯 still can't believe monangai had 176 yards and colston lovlend hauled in 6 catches for 118 yards 💪 gotta give it to calvin williams though, he put on a show 🎉

omg did u see that opening kick return?! 99 yards from the kickoff? thats insane! i was watching with my mates and we were all like "what the heck just happened?" lol anyway back to calvin williams he's def got some skills but i'm still not sure if his defense can keep up with him

Umm... what a game right?! 😂 I mean Caleb Williams is literally on fire but that defense? like what's going on?! 🤯 They just couldn't stop them and now I'm wondering if they're okay... or just really, really tired? 😴 Did they even get enough rest during the week? I feel bad for Monangai though, he was doing all the work out there. 176 yards is crazy! And Colston Loveland's touchdowns were insane! 🤯 58-yard one with seconds left tho... what a throw! 💥

man this game was crazy like the defense was sleepwalking 🤯 and you can't just sit back and let the other team put up huge numbers, that's just basic football skills 🏈 you gotta want it more than the other guy and it looks like they didn't want it at all 😔 anyway, kudos to Monangai for stepping up when his teammate was out and Colston Loveland for scoring those touchdowns, but we can't forget about Caleb Williams, he's a superstar in the making 🌟 and that rookie magic can only take you so far, eventually you gotta develop some actual defense skills ⚔️

omg I'm still hyped about that crazy game 🤯... like Caleb Williams is straight up a magician but at the same time our defense was like "meh" it's just so frustrating to watch when you know we have that potential, you feel? but on the bright side Kyle Monangai is my new favorite player lol he totally brought it out there and I'm still in awe of Colston Loveland's 58-yard touchdown 🤩... and can we talk about Joe Flacco for a second?! 40 years old and still putting up crazy numbers? that's just insane 💥... and omg don't even get me started on the Bengals' opening kickoff return, like what even is that?! 😂

Man, what a game 😂! I'm loving Caleb Williams' skills, but that defense? 🤯 They can't keep up with anyone! Monangai's performance was insane, dude! I mean, who else is gonna break tackles like he did and still manage to get 176 yards on the ground? Kyle Loveland's 6 catches for 118 yards weren't bad either... Colston just got lucky on that last catch 🤷‍♂️. But seriously, Bengals' defense can't even contain Joe Flacco anymore! What's going on with them?

this game was wild lol 😂 what a difference a few healthy players can make - monangai and colston loveland stepped up big time 🤩 and i gotta ask, what's going on with that defense? they looked like they were sleepwalking out there ⚠️ it's crazy how joe flacco just tore them apart in the 4th quarter... like, i get it, he's a veteran QB and all, but come on! 🤯

I'm still trying to wrap my head around that insane Bengals opener 😱. A 99-yard kickoff return? That's just wild! And to make matters worse, they turned it into a TD 🤯. The Bears were already up for grabs by the end, but I guess you can't blame Caleb Williams for throwing like a madman when your defense is basically nonexistent 💥. On a lighter note, Colston Loveland's 58-yard TD catch at the end was pure magic ✨ – it's gonna be one of those moments that'll get replayed for ages!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around that crazy game 🤯🏈! I mean, Caleb Williams is a total genius out there, no doubt about it 💡. But at the same time, that defense was straight trash 😩. Like, how do you not even try to stop a 99-yard kickoff return? 🤷‍♂️ And then Joe Flacco just goes off for 470 yards and 4 touchdowns? What's up with that? 😳 It's like they had an on-field meltdown or something. I guess that's just the NFL, though - one minute you're on top of the world, the next minute you're getting destroyed 😅. And can we talk about Kyle Monangai for a sec? That guy is like a superhero out there! 🦸‍♂️

ugh I'm still trying to process that game 🤯, like who allows a team to score from their own 20-yard line on the first play? the defense was straight up destroyed 😩 and it's crazy how much one player can change the outcome of the game, Caleb Williams' performance was insane but at the same time the whole team needs to step it up if they wanna make some noise in the playoffs 👊

Ugh 🤦‍♂️, can you believe this defense? They're like they got out-coached by a high school team... I mean, what's going on with those pass coverage skills? 😩 Caleb Williams is putting in work, but it's hard to watch the offense get pushed around so much. And that Bengals defense was straight fire 🔥, I'm talking about Joe Flacco having a career night 🤯. Meanwhile, Monangai and Loveland are just trying to carry the team on their backs... can't say I'm surprised they put up big numbers, but still. That 99-yard kickoff return? 🤷‍♂️ crazy, right? 😲

OMG, what a WILD game!!! 😂 I'm low-key hyped about Caleb Williams' performance tho, he's def got some magic in that arm 🧙‍♂️! But like, can we talk about the defense for a sec? 🤯 They were straight up roasted by Joe Flacco 🚮. Like, how does one person put up 470 yards through the air?! 😲 And that opening kickoff return was wild 🔥🔴 I'm also loving Colston Loveland's debut TDs 🎉. The only thing that got me was Kyle Monangai's yardage - he was on fire 🔥!

🤯 what's up with the Bears' defense tho? They're getting torched by every QB who steps onto that field 🚫💥, and it's like they just can't seem to get their act together 😒. Caleb Williams is doing his thing, but it's not enough to carry the team, it feels like. And what's up with Bengals' Joe Flacco? 470 yards in a single game? That's just wild 🤪. The whole game was crazy, I'm still trying to process everything that went down 😅. The offense is putting on a show, but the defense needs some major work 💪🏽.

I'm totally surprised that Caleb Williams' magic wasn't enough to save his team's defense from a total meltdown 🤯. I mean, if he can put up those kinds of numbers, you'd think the O-line would be able to hold up and protect him for more than 3 seconds without getting sacked 😂. And what's up with this defense not being able to close out plays? It's like they're trying to make the Bengals look good on purpose 🤔. I'm calling it now, Joe Flacco is the real MVP of that game – he outcoached Williams and proved that he still got it 💪. And can we talk about how ridiculous the Bears' offense was? 4 TDs to a QB who's supposed to be a rookie! 😂

🤯 I mean can you even? The Bears just threw a game and yet they're still up 47-42 lol what's going on with this team?! 😂 Their defense was straight trash, it was like they weren't even trying to stop the Bengals' offense. Joe Flacco just roasted them for career-high numbers 🤦‍♂️ and Colston Loveland is a hero for scoring those two TDs 🙌! And Caleb Williams is a magician but even he can't make up for that defense. Kyle Monangai was on fire though, 176 yards on the ground is crazy 💨!

I don’t usually comment but I think the Bears' defense was literally a mess out there 😂. Like, you can't just give up 470 yards and four touchdowns to Joe Flacco? And that 63-yard run by Kyle Monangai in the first quarter was insane! But for real, it's crazy how the defense just fell apart when it mattered most. And what's up with all those missed tackles? It's like they were expecting the Bengals to put on a different show 🤯. I mean, Caleb Williams is clearly the real MVP of this game, but the defense needs a major overhaul 💪.
