
 I'm torn about this one... On one hand, I get why Zohran Mamdani wants to shake things up - the current system sounds pretty outdated, especially considering how much progress PATH has made already. Removing NYPD officers from the mix might actually help outreach workers do their jobs more effectively and build trust with people in need. 
On the other hand, I'm also worried about public safety. If transit ambassadors can't handle emergency situations or prevent violent incidents, it's a recipe for disaster. 

 And what about all the people who don't respond well to street outreach - like those who are desperate, unstable, or even hostile? We need a balance between community support and crisis response.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this plays out
