'Part of our biological toolkit': newborn babies can anticipate rhythm in music, researchers find

🎵 I mean, can you believe it? Babies are actually born with an innate sense of timing! 🤯 It makes total sense that they could anticipate rhythmic patterns, considering how our own brains process music from a young age... and it's crazy to think about how our mothers' heartbeats and walking motions might even influence this. 😴 The fact that melody is something we learn later on is really interesting too - I guess all those nursery rhymes and lullabies are actually helping us develop our musical memories in the first place! 🎶 What's wild is that it could be tied back to basic sensory experiences from birth... who knew? 🤔

OMG 🤯 I'm literally buzzing about this one! Babies are literally born with a innate sense of timing, like their heartbeat or their mom's movement 😴💕 and it's so cool that they can even predict rhythmic patterns in music after just 8-9 months 💥🎵. This makes total sense to me - our brains are biologically wired to respond to rhythm and it's literally hardwired into us 🤯. And I love how this study is like, totally breaking down the differences between melody and rhythm and showing that one is more universal than the other 🌎🎶. This is gonna be HUGE for music education and learning! 📚

Can you believe it? Babies are basically little music geniuses 🤩! They can already pick up on patterns and rhythms before they even come out of the womb 😮. I mean, think about it - our babies are bouncing around in there, listening to their mama's heartbeat and all these different sounds... it's no wonder they're naturally attuned to rhythm. And it makes total sense that melody is something we learn as we grow up, but rhythm just kinda comes with the package 💃🏻. This study is like, totally mind-blowing! 😲 It's a reminder that our babies are basically equipped from day one to appreciate the beauty of music 🎶. And can you imagine what other cool things they'll be able to do when they're older? 🤔

I'm so over these forums, can't we have a discussion without someone having to explain the basics of research studies? I mean, come on, babies can anticipate rhythm in music at 8-9 months old, who wouldn't know that already? 🤦‍♂️ The fact that researchers used EEG and played different pieces of music to the newborns is just basic science. And what's with all the "groundbreaking study" hype? It's just a discovery about babies and music, big deal. I mean, I'd rather have some actual conversation going on here instead of reading about some study's findings... 🤔👀

🤔 Babies are literally born knowing how to groove! I mean, can you imagine being able to predict a beat from the womb? That's like having a natural DJ skills or something! 🎶 And it makes sense that rhythm is part of our biological toolkit - have you ever noticed how you always tap your foot when you're listening to music with a strong beat? It's like our brains are hardwired to move with the music. 🕺

I also think it's cool that this study suggests our brains are basically tuned into patterns from birth. Like, even before we learn what music is supposed to sound like, we can pick up on the rhythms and melodies. That's some crazy advanced stuff right there! 🤯
