Wendy & Peter Pan review – sugar-rush spectacle with an awfully big hormonal hot-crush

I'm telling you, they're trying to brainwash us with all this flashy tech stuff 🤖... I mean, those lights and video projections are insane! But honestly, it feels like the show is just trying too hard to be cool. Like, what's up with Wendy being so meh about her dead brother? You'd think she'd be more than just "tame" 😕. And Peter Pan's inner crisis is straight out of a teen drama 📺... not exactly the carefree spirit we know and love.

And don't even get me started on Captain Hook 🤣... Toby Stephens is like, totally overacting. I'm pretty sure that's just some sort of mind control or something 💥. The music's just noise, and the pacing is all off. It feels like they're trying to make a quick buck off us with this production 🤑. All in all, it's just another example of how the system is out to get us 😒... or at least, that's what I think 😉

I went to see Wendy & Peter Pan at the Barbican theatre last weekend 🤔 and gotta say, I was really looking forward to it but it was just so...meh 😐 The visuals were insane though, I mean who needs a storyline when you can just blast some lights and video projections all over the stage? But seriously, the whole thing felt like it was missing something. Peter Pan's character was just so whiny and angsty, it made me want to roll my eyes 🙄 and Wendy's story just didn't feel very real. I mean, I get that she's trying to be a feminist icon and all but sometimes less is more, you know? 🤷‍♀️ And don't even get me started on the music, it was like they took every sword fight from a bad 80s action movie and mashed them all together into one big mess 🎵. Anyways, if you're looking for a fun night out with friends, I guess this might be the ticket 😂 but for anyone looking for a proper story, keep looking 🚫

Ugh I'm so done with the Barbican theatre 🤯 this production of Wendy & Peter Pan is literally the most underwhelming experience ever! The visuals are all flash and no substance, it's like they're trying to distract us from the fact that the story just isn't working. And don't even get me started on the pacing issues, I was squirming in my seat the whole time 🤦‍♀️ the actors are so over-the-top it's like they're playing a different show altogether. And what's up with Peter Pan being all angsty and uncharacteristic? It's like they took every annoying teenager trope and mashed them all together into one cringeworthy mess 😳

I don't usually comment but I was really looking forward to seeing this Peter Pan adaptation at the Barbican theatre 🤔. The special effects looked insane, with those aerial stunts and massive projections – it's like a whole new world on stage! 🌍 But when I watched it, I felt kinda underwhelmed, you know? The actors were all over the place, shouting their lines instead of actually acting them out 😒. And Peter Pan just seemed so... whiny? I mean, I get that he's supposed to be a bit of a rebel, but come on, dude 🤷‍♂️. It was like they took all the excitement and energy of Neverland and replaced it with just a bunch of flashing lights and loud noises 💥. The music wasn't bad or anything, but it felt like they were trying too hard to make it sound cool 😎. All in all, I left feeling pretty meh about this one 🤷‍♂️.
